Founder, Compassion Unites

Academic. Monk. Philanthropist. Founder of Compassion Unites, the structural expression of his twenty years’ work with people in crisis. Trained for over fifteen years within one of India’s oldest contemplative lineages, his programme, Yoga of Immortals, is backed by six peer-reviewed studies and has been adopted by Mayo Clinic, Google, and MD Anderson. He has been received by the US Congress, UK Parliament, and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy on the opioid crisis.

Sojan Joseph is the Labour MP for Ashford, the first ever to hold the seat. Before his election in 2024 he spent 22 years in the NHS, most recently as Head of Nursing for Community Mental Health Services in Kent and Medway. He served on the Bill Committee for the Mental Health Act 2025 and chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Mental Health.

He served as Mayor’s Chaplain for Harrow from 2019 to 2021 and received the Happiness Ambassador Award at the House of Commons in 2019. He is a longstanding voice for interfaith harmony and community service across the UK.

Mark Oakley has been Dean of Southwark since December 2023. A former Deputy Priest in Ordinary to HM Queen Elizabeth II, he has served as Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral and Dean of St John’s College, Cambridge. He has been awarded the Michael Ramsey Prize, the Lanfranc Award by the Archbishop of Canterbury, and an Upstander award for his work with hate crime victims.

Rabbi Kathleen has served Mosaic Reform Synagogue since 2008, now part of Mosaic Jewish Community, the UK’s first fully pluralistic Jewish community. Ordained at Leo Baeck College in 2000, she has lectured in Chumash at Leo Baeck, co-chaired the first International Women Rabbis Network Conference, and is a longstanding member of Harrow Interfaith.

Aarti Samani is the Founder of Shreem Growth Partners. A former investment banker, she has led three AI companies to acquisition and now advises on deepfakes, AI fraud, and digital trust. She lectures at MIT and Durham Business School and co-authored a cybersecurity course for Cambridge University. Her work spans the sectors Compassion Unites brings together. She anchors the evening.
